Two companies can quote the same app idea and be ten times apart. Usually they imagined different apps. These five answers close that gap.
1. Who uses it, and what do they do first?
Describe one real person and their first five minutes. "A patient books a follow-up" is a better brief than "a healthcare platform".
2. What does version one leave out?
List what can wait. Most budgets go on features nobody asked for yet.
3. Does it have to be an app?
A fast mobile website costs less, needs no store approval and can be updated at any time. An app earns its cost when you need notifications, offline use or device features.
4. What does it connect to?
Payment gateways, accounting tools, WhatsApp and existing databases often take more work than the screens. Name them early.
5. Who looks after it after launch?
Phones update, security patches arrive and stores change their rules. Ask what support costs before you sign, not after.
